Incredibly, it’s been 40 years since the first episode of Only Fools and Horses, so to celebrate our good friends at UKTV decided to open an East End pub (OK, to rebrand an existing one) and call it the Nags Head, and it was a treat to be at the launch party.
When no less than Amazon contact you to provide food and refreshments for a staff appreciation day at the company’s newest and largest UK distribution centre it’s not something you choose to turn down, and The Frying Squad are always up for the challenge.
To help celebrate its big 5-0 Green Flag asked The Frying Squad to travel to Manchester, Bristol, and London to give out free portions of fish and chips to locals who had seen the publicity campaign and turned up with a voucher.
In October of last year The Frying Squad were asked to provide food and refreshments for a rather unusually exciting pop-up venture in Shoreditch, east London. We were there at the VIP opening night to offer our luxury fish and chips and veggie/vegan options to the gathering of press and paparazzi.
Every year the National Fish & Chip Awards recognises the shopkeepers and the chefs behind the best fish and chip shops in the country. Last year we were delighted when ITV called to invite us to bring our famous Frying Squad van to the iconic Television Centre to celebrate the crowning of Britain’s Best Chippy.
